40 US billionaires pledge half wealth to charity

wow! amazing piece of news!
I thought my eyes were playing planks on me when i first came across the news on "Prime Time Morning", yet came across this news again on yahoo!

Under the lead by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, 40 of the wealthiest family and individual in US will pledge majority of their wealth to charitable causes. This was a result of some soft calling to 70 - 80 people on the Forbes list. 50% success rates based on such soft moral techniques - great start!

Refer to www.givingpledge.org for more details.

I love what Buffett said in his pledge. To many people, giving away majority of your wealth would come at the compromise of your lifestyle. Yet, Buffett said that by committing to such acts, it will never compromise the life of his or his family. In his own words. "I will continue to live in a manner that gives me everything that i could possibly want in life."

They are just simply too wealthy! And moreover, the most precious asset to him is time and not merely money.

Its really interesting to see good people going the extra mile to ensure that through a portion of their charitable act, it will help to greatly enhance the life of the people around them.

"WOW!"
Looking forward to seeing the happy repercussion of such acts!
